Zuru Three~ Fondling distant [Ledius's drift]

"Do you Ledius Lockheart and Luna Tagellin, take each other as your unlawfully forbidden wife and husband in health, wealth, good times or bad, and most importantly, knowing the path you have taken is going against both heaven and hell?" a female priestess asked the couple before her. Both dressed in the traditional attire of a groom and bride. Upon the roof of a modern multi-story church, this solemn and unavoidable question was asked. Their truthful answer fully known would change the world.

The night was slowly passing by, time waits for no one...but it doesn't past as quickly as people think. Every second could be precious, and yet useless and pointless at the same time. Not everything makes sense, and at times they don't need to. A middle age lady was on her way home from shopping. Her tied up golden yellow hair hanging behind her white raincoat. And her emerald green eyes filled with loneliness. There was no one to go home to tonight...everyone was out doing his or her own thing. And the sky looked cold as well as disheartening. Dark clouds showed signs of a down pour soon. The lady slowly made her way to the bus stop ahead of her. During times like this, how she wished that her husband didn't had to leave...but it couldn't be helped. Or that's what she always tells herself. Boarding the bus that soon arrived, she recalled the many times that she smiled and laughed with him. The times where they would have ice cream together under the stars. And that she would always take an extra lick from his whenever he wasn't looking. Till the day he left, he didn't seem to realize why his ice cream always finished so quickly. But now all that was left was the rain to keep her company. The droplets of water began falling hard on to the window besides her, each splashing into many more droplets in an array of different lights due to the lit town area around her. Different stalls past by, ranging from post offices to even card shops, but each holding very little interest to her. However just as she passed by an odd looking skyscraper, time seemed to stop for a second...and a warm feeling came over her. A feeling that she hadn't felt for a very long time, a feeling she had missed so much. Time quickly resumed its pace, and the skyscraper was almost out of sight. Pushing the alighting bell, she quickly proceeded to the doors and waited to alight at the next stop. Luckily for her, it wasn't very far away, and the skyscraper was still in walking distance away. Taking out her hood, she began her walk under the pouring rain.

Her heart began beating faster as she approached the building, he was here...she was almost sure of it. However as the automatic glass doors slide open, and a cold gust of air rushed out upon her face. She realized in the refreshing breezy that took away the previous feeling... "What am I doing? He can't be here... My feelings...they are probably just playing a trick on me..." Before long, she stepped back out. And the glass doors swooshed back to their original positions. Closing away the air-conditioned air within, and letting the middle-aged lady continue her wandering way in the rain. After she left, a hooded man in a black raincoat proceeded out. Looking around in hope to find the person he was looking for, he soon sighed and before long returned back into the building. The heavy rain and numerous people wearing raincoats made it hard to recognize anyone. Causing the man's hope to diminish quickly into the sounds of the heavy rain.

"What's the matter Ledius?" a man wearing a white suit asked from behind him. His hair was jelled up to show clearly his emerald eyes while his hands were tucked comfortably in his pockets. The other man pulled back his hood and let down his considerably stylish long hair before replying sadly, "It's nothing...for a moment there...I thought she was just outside."

"Well her home isn't pretty far away, you should visit her if you have the time." The business like man commented as he began his journey back to his office. Ledius followed suit not far behind. The lobby was fully carpeted and had two long stairways leading up to another floor. A counter was located in between the two stairs and security guards stood besides it. To the left of the lobby was where they were heading. A place dedicated to an invention making use of tubes to transport people, a place known to many as simply a lift lobby. However the lifts here weren't ordinary. They had secret compartments in them to access different floors of the building. But only the president of the company could open the compartments. On their way to these lifts, Ledius suddenly replied to his comment. "I don't have the time."
"You don't have the time or you just can't come up with a better excuse for me?"

Ledius let out a sigh before he entered, his eyes showing signs of doubt as he answered. "Perhaps a little of both."

"We do." That was our surely and truthful answer. We thought that no matter what happened...we would always be together. Against hell, or against heaven, we thought that nothing was going to break us apart. Yes, it was our wishful thinking. As we answered, we turned our backs to each other...and fired an array of dark and light arrows at the uninvited guests. A group of high reapers and angels had crashed the party.

The arrows were dead on target, with the dark ones engulfing the angels and the light subduing the reapers. "Heh, what do you say you guys? Lets get this party started!" one of the guest dressed in a formal suit suggested as he summoned his twin spears from thin air. A number of others followed suit with their own range of weapons, from machine guns to even a cross like staff from the priestess who quickly joined in the battle.

They had come...to try to prevent our wedding...those who couldn't accept the fact that we love each other...that though forbidden...we choose to wed. Our parents were dead. Perhaps they would have forbid it as well, but they weren't here to now...so it didn't matter. Our friends, siblings at least they were okay with it...

"You do realize what you're asking for could very well be suspected as terrorism." The man dressed in white asked as he read the documents Ledius had brought before him. "Well your company is a neutral company and it allows all its transitions to be done confidentially. Or are you changing your policy soon? Mr. president?" The president of the company was at a loss, its policy clearly does stat what Ledius had asked for...however the request from him was a bit too outrages to agree upon. "If it's the money...I can pay you in full now..." Ledius assured as he found the president's silence a bit too disturbing. "No...it's not the money..."

"I see...then give me a straight answer and I'll be on my way." Ledius said politely as he began packing up his documents into a black suitcase. He could recognized the facial expression on his troubled face and realized that his answer may not what be what he had hoped for. It was only a few minutes later before the president asked worriedly. "What are you going to do with so many dreads anyway?" Ledius showed him a smirk and stopped packing before replying, "In case of an invasion..."

"But how could you be so sure there may be one?"

"Hey, I said in case didn't I? Don't tell me you don't trust me? Okay...we'll add another condition in the contract. You keep the dreads safe. I won't touch them unless they are needed." Ledius replied hastily, not knowing how much he would regret that decision later on.

"Well...first of all...I said maybe...and since you are my brother in law...I guess...I'll do it then." The man dressed in white agreed as he took out a pen to sign his name on the documents.

"You have my thanks then Renoir." Ledius thanked as he gave him a graceful bow before leaving his office. The night was getting late, and indeed there was little time left before his flight departs...but still...he had one last thing to do...or should he say his friend did.

The night continued it's heavy down pour, and the moon rays were lost behind the dark clouds. With flowers in hand and a trench raincoat, a young teenager made his way towards the designated apartment. Knocking thrice, he waited for the door to open. He was here on an important errand...well perhaps not that important to him, as he would rather be sleeping on his comfortable bed at the hotel. But it was important to his caregiver...so he couldn't say no... When the door finally opened, he saw a gorgeous golden haired lady in causal clothing. The young teenager almost lost himself in her eyes if not for the unexpected phone call from her house. The lady quickly ran back in to pick up the call, leaving the young teen standing there like there was no tomorrow. Well at least he wasn't bored, as he could hear the lady's honey sweet voice from the door.

"Hello?"

"Oh Krion, you'll be late today...okies got it."

"Umm...well they're not home if that's what you wanted to know."

"Oh...you think you know where they are? Haha...okays don't come home too late then you three."

When she came back, she sincerely apologized with a bow. "Oh I'm so sorry, did you wait long?" The teen a bit shaken by the lady's concern shook his head and hastily handed her the bouquet of black roses and a card before running away as fast as he could in embarrassment soon after. He was afraid that she might have mistaken that the flowers were from him...so he decided that it would have been too awkward to stay. The lady surprised by the teenager's odd behavior, couldn't help but let out a giggle before opening the card to see who the flowers were from.

Dear Luna,

I know I haven't been home for 12 years now, but you know why I had to leave...perhaps you hate me for leaving...but it was something I just had to do. Hah...I'm not even sure if you still remember this lousy husband of yours, but he remembers and misses you every second of his life. These roses are for you. I know it's odd to send black flowers, but we promised each other before didn't we? I'll show you the darkness, and you'll show me the light. See you soon...

Love,
Ledius
The one who's sorry and whose heart is fondly missing you.

The lady upon finishing reading took one of the roses and enchanted it with light. Causing the rose to turn snow white in appearance. She then stepped out to the balcony and let the rose fall. The rain during the delivery had gotten smaller, almost decreasing to nothing. Allowing the solo rose to timely fall back down to it's deliverer to be delivered back to the one who sent for him.

It was a night similar to the weather ten years later, heavy rain...and fond hearts. A young man stood on the ledge of the roof of an apartment building. Lost in his emotions and regret of what he must do. His hood was pulled to his back, leaving his entire head unprotected by the cold, tasteless drops of water. He felt the rain as a way to comfort his sorrow. A way for his tearless eyes to cry...

A group of others wearing raincoats soon approached him from behind. "Are you sure this is what you want?" one of them asked in a solemn tone. The not hooded man shook his head before replying sadly, "I don't have a choice."

"Hey come on...we can do it without you! We don't need you to mess things up and hold us back!" another of the group shouted harshly. Trying his best to convince the poor soul not to go. Ledius upon hearing that, closed his eyes in frustration before arguing back strongly, "But...it was partially because of me that he became this way! If...if Luna and I hadn't fall in love...then they wouldn't had tortured him to that state! They wouldn't had killed her in the process..."

"Then shouldn't Luna be coming along as well?" A four speaker asked, but Ledius decided not to answer him...it was going nowhere...they seem determined not to let him go along with them...even though they knew why he had to...but they didn't know the guilt and pain he was feeling...and so he lied.

As soon as they left, he boarded his private jet...but not before visiting his special someone first...She was asleep at that time, but that was the only reason why he dared to go back...While giving her a kiss on her forehead, he whispered softly to her ear, "Goodbye my dear...the children can't do without a mother...so allow me to take the burden for the both of us...I'll end it for you...I promise."

All of a sudden, a young child's voice disturbed his moment. "Daddy? Where are you going?" Ledius was surprised by the fact that one of his sons was still awake, he kneeled down and gave him a hug so that he could stalled for time to think of what to say to him. After a moment of thought, he let go and said to the boy, "Daddy has to go to somewhere far away, and he won't be coming back soon. I know you may not be the oldest Hien...but I know you'll grow up to be a responsible adult. So take care of them for me...can you do that son?" The young child nodded to his father's request, and saw him slowly letting him go...before leaving through the large wooden door.

And so he left...not knowing that they would be separated for twelve long years...and even then...it still hasn't ended. Light was still sinned.
