Six dreams of you
I've been having these weird dreams lately. It was as if you were really there...
"What's the matter? Why are you crying again?" she asked
"It's nothing...it's just that...it's been such a long time since I've seen your smile, I've missed it. That's all." I replied happily.
"It won't be long now, wait for me kay?" I encouraged as I hugged her.
"But it already seems feels like an eternity since we last met..."
"I know...just a little longer, I promise we'll meet soon."
"Krion! Hey Krion! Wake up!" a voice persisted. "Wha...whats the matter?"
"You were crying in your sleep..." Reina explained softly as she sat back down."
Krion surprised, touched the area around his eyes and realized that they were wet...Reina was right... he had been crying...
"Sorry...it's just that, ever since I'm here...I've been having these weird dreams...and they seem so real..." Krion explained as he wipped the area around his eyes dry.
"Anyways, you better get some sleep...it's my turn to keep watch."
Reina stared at Krion with concerned eyes before saying, "Alright...just promise me you won't do anything foolish, kay?"
"Don't worry...I'm stronger then you think." Krion comforted as he took off his coat and used it to cover Reina like a blanket.
It had been a whole six days, since they've entered hell...and oddly...it seemed like a peaceful place. Though it feels like a continous cave, it seem to be darker at night. And brighter at day. Sure it would have the usual lava flowing by you like a river, but there would be the silence that accompanies you when you come upon a place of resting. Now all that Krion had to do, is to find the right resting place of her. And he'll soon see her smile...and his own again.
On the other side of the camp fire, Hien was still awake. He had heard the conversation between Reina and Krion, and now he too was worried about him. Though they always fought...Hien couldn't help but be concerned about him from time to time. After all...the only kin the three of them had left, were each other. On top of that, they were heretics of the world. Cursed to have no rightful place to return to. 'No matter.' he thought...after everything ends, they'll make their own.
Meanwhile Ledius had already reached the chamber of the prince of darkness.
"Wh...what...even in your human form...how can you still be so powerful?"
Ledius pointed his sword at the so called prince of darkness and replied, "Haven't you figure it out by now? What the title God slayer means? The ones who can overcome anything. Besides...this time I had help, so don't be so surprise."
From a far, the prince of darkness looked kinda like a vampire. With his hair jell backwards and his glowing eyes, he looked pretty good actually. He held his sword like staff in one hand, and used his other to generate dark balls of energy.
"Guess I can't hold back then..."
"Guess not."
As the two stood there grinning to each other like long lost sparing partners, the prince of darkness eyes glowed brighter and all of a sudden...he dissappeared.
"What!" Ledius shouted as he suddenly sensed a sword approaching him, quickly turning his back...he clashed his own sword with the incoming one. He got a glimpse of the prince before he quickly disappeared again.
"Since your going all out, I might as well too. I summon you, ghosts of the demons I've slayed. Fight for me! And I shall release back your souls, so that you will finally...be able to rest in peace!" Ledius shouted as he lifted up his sword in the air, and then crashing it down again. Soon, countless spirits were released into the atmosphere around him.
The prince of darkness, was then quickly over whelmed by the endlessly increasing number of spirits. However he soon disappeared into the shadows, and when he return...there were numerous copies of himself.
"Two can play that game, Ledius! Shadows of oblivion!" the prince of darkness shouted as his copies and himself dissappeared and reappeared while slashing through the spirits.
However, none of the copies nor himself could find Ledius in the mess of spirits.
All of a sudden, one of the prince of darkness was stabbed. "And now...your soul belongs to me." A voice behind him said in a firm manner.
"Bu...but how! How could you tell that I was...te...the real one?"
"Cause your the only one...who I can sense my demon form in. Makes sense to you?" Ledius asked as he turned his sword as if it was a key in a lock. The prince of darkness's body soon glow a light purple, the glow was then transfered to Ledius. The soul of the prince of darkness then entered the skull shaped part of Ledius sword.
"Don't worry...you'll be released soon."
Clenching his fist tightly, Ledius could then feel his demonic energy returning back to him. His body soon began to burn, white and black flames filled the atmosphere in the transformation. From his back sprout devil-wings, his skin also returned and became black and thick as his entire body grew larger and more demon like. His sword was also then fused into part of his right arm.
"Returned back to your old self I see?"
Ledius turned around, surprised to see Kenyin there waiting for him.
"Yeah..."
"Anyways the reason I'm here is because well...news travels fast here!"
Ledius stared at Kenyin with a very silly face before asking, "That's it?"
"Well...of course not! It's just a warning that the lord of hell will soon be on our tail. And also...apparently, your children are nearby. I'm going to pay them a visit, you coming?"
Ledius closed his eyes and then replied in a sad manner, "No...I'm going to visit her first."
"I see..."
As Ledius walked away from the chamber, he returned back to his human form. And though he didn't show it much, Kenyin knew that his heart was crying, screaming to be free. As he too had been through what Ledius felt right now.
"Give it back...give back my innocence to me!"
To have back his innocence.
