[Part five, "Endless shall finally come to an end."]

The rain had continued on endlessly for the past few hours, it was though the sky was crying for this hopeless world...The dreads are gaining back their momentum but the angels still seem to have the upper hand. Krion and the others had settled the other threats and now all that was left was the face to face 'talk' with their father.

"This is the last chamber...so where is he?" Hien asked as he looked around only to find the emptiness that reminded him of his own. The chamber truly was filled with nothing except a grand chair and well...a very expensive TV set complete withh surround sound. All of a sudden, a different voice replied, "Up here my sons..."

Looking up, they found a door large enough for only one person to get through...it looked a bit broken as well, maybe because of the strength used to shut it.

As Hien extended his angel wings and slowly flew towards the door, Krion followed suit and grabbed his shoulder just in time before Hien opened the door. "You won't be alone this time. I'm here too."

Putting his other arm on Krion's shoulder and showing him an expression of gratitude, Hien then turned back to see Reina sitting on the grand chair and holding out her hand towards the TV with the remote control in her palm to change the channels. Before Hien even needed to open his mouth to ask...the answer came to him. "I'm not going...I've already done enough 'talking' with our father. Besides...my favourite show is on!"

Upon hearing their sister's reason, the two brothers quickly gave a big smile to her before looking back up to the door. 'Here we go...'

As they opened the door, a large amount of water came pouring in. Dodging it just in time, the rain water was just about to land on their sister's head when she summoned a barrier to shield her fore head. "Oh...and remember to close the door. Thanks." she commented without even looking back at her brothers.

The two brothers got a bit surprised, but got over quickly upon hearing their father taunting at them.

"What's taking you boys so long?"

Krion and Hien then flew through the door in an orderly manner and soon found themselves drenched in the pouring rain. "Of all the places you had to pick to fight..." Hien commented as he hated getting wet for no good reason.

"Well...I like the rain, don't you?" their father asked in a friendly manner as he looked up towards the pouring rain.

"Yes...but not getting wet because of it..." Hien replied as he drew Kenyin's sword and threw it towards their father. Catching it swiftly, Ledius stared at the sword for a few moments before saying, "Thank-you Kenyin...for sticking by me so long." And with a swing of the sword, a red blade with black lining appeared out of the handel. Hien was quickly surprised by the blade's colour and realized that the sword had the ablity to create a different blade for a different user since it's seal was broken.

"Well then lets begin shall we?" Ledius asked clamly as he approached the two brothers. Hien encirled their coming father and soon the two brothers were on two different sides of their father.

Hien and Krion made the first move by attacking their father from both sides. Hien unleashed a wave of force to his father as he came closer and Krion drew his twin swords against him. Unaffected by the wave of force, Ledius defended Hien's sword with the devil's and gave Krion a hard time with his extended sword of red light. Each blow was defended with precise timing and accuracy till it was as though the three had already rehearsled their battle before hand. Krion changed tatics and switched to his twin pistols for a better chance. Firing a string of bullets while narrowly dodging the blade of crimson light by bending back. Krion made a grin thinking that the bullets were sure to meet their mark, but his grin soon faded as with a flip of Kenyin's sword...the crimson blade reduced the bullets to ashes. The grin was then transfered to Ledius as he extended the crimson blade again and made a three hundred degree spin, causing Krion and Hien to be shifted from their original positions just to defend themselves.

"My my...is this all you too got?" Ledius taunted as he realized that his sons weren't trying their hardest.

"Heh...you want it, you got it!" Krion replied confidently as the air around him soon become uneven and an aura of light and darkness covered his body. His eyes turned golden and his smile devilish. Joining his twin swords to form a lance like weapon, he charged forth without warning or doubt of his actions.

Krion's speed was unnatural, as he took his first step...the next second he was already at his destination. Thus he was able to achieve the rythem of attacking his father on a different side as each second past only to never return. Unfortunately for Krion, his father was used to such attacks and easily defended them with his two swords. Soon his father summoned a wave of dark wind then swept Krion off his feet and as Krion was in mid air, he quickly charged forward while extending the crimson blade to form a much faster attack. However before his sword even touched a single strand of hair from Krion, it was held back by a pale white force. The force soon grew stronger and repelled the sword back to it's weilder. Hien stepped in to the scence in front of Krion and said, "Lets get this party started!"

The two brothers once more attacked on both sides, but this time they were making more progress. With brute strength, the two forced their way towards their father by unleashing powerful strings of attacks with their weapons, combined with counter attacks for the incoming swords. Seeing no way out but up, Ledius made a mighty leap into the dark clouds to avoid the final swings of the two brother's blades. Hien gave chase, while Krion switched to his pistols and fired another string of bullets.

In reaction, Ledius extended the crimson blade only to barely miss Hien but to silce Krion's bullet into halves. Hien and Ledius soon clashed their weapons as they met, Krion decided joined in but was quickly redirected by an incoming blade that reminded him of the colour of blood. Hien too soon had his own encounter of the crimson blade, it's vicious assualt caused Hien to crash into the flooded floor below and made a small explosion of rain drops. Annoyed, Hien summoned a pale white force around Ledius to bring him back down as well. Extending his devil wings, Ledius tried his best to stay in the air but the glowing force around him soon had their way and plunged him back down into the rain covered roof. Before long he found himself having to face bullets shrouding with the power of darkness. Using the crimson blade once more, he sliced the bullets in half...but unexpectedly the other halves were still flying towards him. In the split second, the other half of the bullets rejoined to form a whole because of Hien's pale white force. The bullets now flew with a beautiful mix of light and dark energy...causing them to be truly bullets of twilight. Ledius felt the threat and unleashed a wave of dark wind combined with the power of his crimson blade inorder to pit his might against theirs. However the power of the bullets proved to be unheavenly strong as only with a touch from his sword, sent Ledius into the air barely dodging a few of the bullets. One found it's way into his left arm while another into his right leg. Extending his devil like wings once more, Ledius hovered back to the roof and said to his sons, "My...oh how strong you two have becomed. One controlling the Sinned light while the other the Twilight of shadows. It makes my heart proud to see you both this way and yet pity..."

Puzzled by his father's comment...Krion asked,"Pity?"

"Did you know why I decided to have children with your mother? Do you want to know what I learnt when I was for one second...God?"

There was a moment of silence after the questions...neither Krion nor Hien knew how to answer their father's questions, but not for long as their answer soon came.

"When I became God for that one second during the second uprising...I learnt about everything that was going to happen for the next three years. From Krion's awakening, to when Hien was going to open the gates to hell. Not only that...I found a way to fully seal the gates once and for all. And do you now realize the reason why i brought the three of you into this world?"

The answer soon became clear...that their father needed heretics, somehow they were suposed to be able to close the gates fully...the way? No one knew accept their father...but then it struck him.

'Could it be? Just like mother..." Hien questioned in his mind as finally his father revealed the truth.

"A sacrifice is needed for each gate my sons...the blood that drips from the sacrifice would be the key to opening the gates again. Thus because you are heretics your blood have no equal except for the three of you."

A sudden shadow of sorrow seem to be casted on the two brothers as they realized two out of the three of them would have to end their lives today. Many thoughts raced through the brothers mind as they thought whether they wanted to die. Questions of purpose, obligations, promises seem to float into their minds endlessly. Perhaps if they had found out a few days ago...the both of them would have gladly gave up their lives. However sadly, though it should be a happy matter...the two brothers were finally able to let go and smile to this forsaken world. Hien then wondered if their father had forseen who would be the ones to be sacrificed and so asked he did.

"Then...do you know which two heretics will end their lives this day?"

"I'm afraid not...my vision stopped at this point. Fate has a funny way of presenting itself sometimes...always when on the most crucial moment is the part where no one can see. Not even God himself..."

"Hah...so it is only at this point of our lives that we have control of." Krion commented sadly with a slight mix of sacarsim.

"Anyways...since the both of you are so undecisive, perhaps in the heat of battle would your answer be clear." Ledius suggested as he once more extended the crimson blade that retracts back right after the user swings it. Holding it out to his right, the pouring rain evaporated at the touch of the crimson blade causing endless steam to rise from the sword. Soon, Ledius positioned himself to swing his blade downwards between them. The two brothers didn't move an inch and stood next to each other hoping that what their father said was true...perhaps on the verge of death would their answer be acquired.

As the crimson blade was swung downwards, time seem to slowly paused and their lives started to flash by them. For Hien, images of his mother smiling and the times spent with his brother and sister brought to him the most joy. He could recall a time when it was just them playing their instruments till midnight when the neighbours started to complain. However, even when Rena joined in...things never really seemed to change except that Krion suddenly always had a smile on his face...but then the night of devil may came and that's when it all started to become dark. The killing...the blood...the sin.

Krion however had already decided his answer not too long ago...for him the one thing he wanted more then anything in the world, was just to be re-united with her again and perhaps the only way to do that was simply...to die.

The sword soon came crashing down right in the small gap between the brothers. Narrowly missing them and causing their coats and hair to waver from the impact, Ledius quickly asked his two sons.

"Your decisions my sons?"

As the two brothers replied saying each other's words as if they knew what each other were thinking, they gave a slight smile...content with their answer. "Reina will live." However Hien added something else at the back of their answer, "But you won't."

Upon hearing their answer, Ledius replied calmly as he took steps by steps closer to the edge of the roof. "I never had...my sons...I never had. And one more thing Hien...your mother died happy. Not because of me but because of the three of you. I thought I should at least let you know that..." And then with one last step back...he fell...into the confusion of dreads and angels. However just as soon as he did, he unleashed an unbelievable swarm of demon spirits...countless, endless were words that could describe the swarm perfectly. The spirits rosed into the air at first, joyous that they were free and soon did their master's biding...for the one and only last time. "To slay all angels, none must survive."

Taking in a deep breath before breathing out again, Krion decided to head back to the chamber. Hien however was questioning what his father had just told him...'Was it just to safe his own skin? But then why did he jump to his death?' However before anymore doubts arrived a comforting voice said to him, "It's over...even if what he said was a lie."

Indeed...their part of battling was over. And as much as he wanted to believe his father's words...Hien knew he'll find out once they reach hell. Now all that was left was to seal off the two gates and everything should be back to normal...
