[Sigh* Why do I bother sometimes...just let me be...]
[Part four, "A silent dream"]
The angel chamber filled itself with a blinding light, as Hien and the crimson angel clashed their swords together. The crimson angel soon retreated again and lauched a blast of white energy from his lance, the blow was soon blocked by a combination of Reina's barrier powered by Kenyin's sword of light.
"Light cannot banish light...how ironic no?" Hien commented as the blast of light vanquished into the air. Quickly, he and Reina took off in different directions...running with un-human speed on the chamber walls...the two onced more combined their efforts to form a giant cross of light towards their foe by jumping across each other and clashing their weapons energy together.
Thinking that the attack was harmless, the angel charged forth only to be blasted back by the cross. "But...but how?" the angel asked in a surprised manner...but before it got an answer, it felt it's arms crushed by a soft white glow. And then a barrier forcing it towards the wall and disarming it of it's weapons. As it struggled to break free of the force holding it back, Hien extended the sword of light towards his angered and puzzled foe. With a cruel smile, Hien told the angel to take a closer look at his sword.
The glow of the blade was no longer shining brightly like light, instead now it was a combination of a pale white glow and transparent material. "I broke your seal angel...now your sword no longers bears your light, but mine. The sinned light." Hien named it as he withdrew his weapon and signalled Reina to set the angel free.
'The Sinned light, a light of sorrow and despair...a light that had lost it's innocence. A light that is harder to understand then understanding the darkness itself.' the angel thought as it shooked off the effects of the force once holding it back.
"Tell me angel, do you wish for a change? If so...let us pass and stop with this nonesense of bring angels to this world..." Hien spoke with his most convincing voice as he turned his back towards the angel and began making his way towards the exit.
The angel felt frustrated of what Hien had asked it to do, after all how could he have asked it to betray the gods knowing that the angel was part of them. Taking out its anger, the angel charged forward towards Hien onced more with it's devil like claws...but before it could even lay a single finger at Hien, it was stopped by his stern voice shouting, "How can you expect the world to change when you yourself refuse to change for that matter...wake up. Look around you. Help end this nightmare. Haven't you had enough of waiting and hoping? Now is the time to do something about it by letting us confront the devil above. So please..."
On the side lines, Reina held her staff forward to summon a barrier at anytime she pleases. However it seems that it wouldn't be neccessary. The angel had stopped in reaction of Hien's words...
"I guess you have started to change as well Hien..." Reina said to herself with a slight smile before lowering her staff and joining her brother. As the two left the angel there to ponder about Hien's words, Reina thought to herself...
'The sinned light...it's aura circles around you brother...but somehow it draws me to you instead of repelling.'
Meanwhile back down Krion was waiting for a signal to meet up with his brother. He knew very much how Hien hates it when he steals the show...so for once here he was...waiting. As he sat on the steps of the stairway, Krion thought about many things...but mostly about her. As he remebered about their last meeting, he tremebled at the thought of it. For the last time they had met, Rena had asked him to forget about her...but till now she was still the subject of his mind. From the video, he had confirmation that she onced loved him...for now...that was enough to get him through. But for how long? He wondered as he started to get restless and decided to check up on the battle.
Upon reaching the top of the stair way, Krion found himself infront of an open door. Inside was a chamber filled with statues of angels, and two gates. One was already opened while the other was shut tight. A statue of a angel was standing infront to make sure of it. In one hand it held it's sword and the other it's lance...and though nothing was written or said, Krion couldn't help but feel that the statue was there to protect the gate from harm or perhaps from anything that wanted to open it. Sensing that no one was in the room, Krion quickly ran through it and up another stairway.
"And so it ends tonight...father."
Back outside, the dreads were serious over whelmed by the increased number of angels. Though the dreads had the upper hand of speed, the god's protection proved to be too big of an annoyance to wip them out fast enough before a dread gets surrouded and huntered. 'Should we retreat?' Jen asked himself as he flew further to get a larger view of the battle. Indeed...they were losing, and quickly losing more and more dreads...
Somewhere nearby, a group of pilots had gathered by the order of their commander to help out the remaining dreads.
"Well...it's not much of a plan but that's it, just get in there and help out...I know it's very much different from the missions we have been given but it's still a mission none the less." one of them said as he patted his team mates on the back.
"This is going to be easy..." another said as he left the group to get into the cockpit of his dread.
When finally all of them had gotten into their cockpit, one of them commented, "Let darkness rain..."
"Heh, indeed Rumora...indeed. Now, everyone it's time." the leader of the group commandered and took off in his sleek black dread. Soon six more similar dreads were launched into the battlefield. Silcing and blasting angels as they passed by, the seven dreads seem to have no problem getting by the god's protection...it was as if it didn't even exist.
