[Here's to a get well soon to Cole.]

12 silver bullets, across the memory lane.

Memories...something which makes us who we are. If all of your memories were lost. Will you still be the same? Would you still carry the same smile or frown? Will you still cry for that special someone?

The rays of the pale white moon slowly revealed itself as the cold wind seemed to blew away all the troubles Krion had. The trees shuttered together with the wind as an angel like creature held it's palm directly above Krion's forehead.
"Your memories...are forgotten. Troubled one." it said as it gave a devilish smile before twitching one of it's fingers, creating a force that barely stopped twelve silver bullets from reaching his face and chest.

Looking back, it saw a silvered hair human wearing a silver coat with shoulder armor, carrying a pair of dual shot guns. Both equipped with laser sensors. He aimed his weapons at the angel before warning it in a meancing manner. "Let him go...or else."

"Or else what mortal? It is futile to go against me. He has already made his choice. There's no turning back now." it replied calmly as it slowly faded away, under the moon light.

As soon as it left, Krion fell to his knees before slowly collapsing. Catching him just before Krion's head touched the ground, the silver haired human carried him on his back and headed south of the city.

All of a sudden, just as he took the first step...hundreds of reapers began emerging from the ground and rooftops. As the silver haired human gazed upon the appearance of this fearsome army, he taunted to them.

"Tsk. Let the party began!" and drew his dual shot guns, prepared for any incoming reapers. However soon it seems that it wouldn't be necessary, as unpredicted firing from the sky wipped out the reapers around them. Curious, the human looked up but only saw a large continious flash of light. A ladder also soon appeared from that light , the silver haired human quickly carried Krion on to his shoulder and climbed onto the ladder. Signaling a sign to go, the hover jet soon took off into the skies again...with the dangling human and his saved heritic hanging in the air.

Meanwhile, Hien and Reina looked up the rooftop to see a glowing Ledius. Stretching out their wings, the siblings made a mighty leap towards their father.

"You have alot of explaining to do..." Hien commented as he clashed his sword against his father's.

Back away and withdrawing his sword he replied in a calm manner before disappearing into thin air in front of them.

"All in good time my son...all in good time. I'll be waiting for you at the highest floor in the castle of the gods...that is...if you manage to enter it."

With a grin on his face and a determined voice Hien replied confidently while pointing his sword towards where his father was just a moment ago, "Oh...don't worry...I will. After all...I have nothing to fear."

Some where underground, Krion laid motionless on the white soft bed. For once he was peaceful...with nothing to bother him. Relaxed and relieved, he slowly opened his eyes to see a bright light shining on his face. As his eyes slowly adjusted to the surroundings, he spoke softly the three words that anyone without a memory would most proably ask.

"Where am I?"

Not long later a voice replied, "Somewhere safe."

Turning his head towards where the voice came from, Krion realized that this room looked alot like a medic room where sick patients rested in. Was he sick or something? He wondered as he couldn't reconizged the face infront of him. The young man had silver hair and matching grey eyes. His smile seem so familar but yet he couldn't seem to remember anything from it.

"Aah yes...and who might you be?" Krion asked curiously with a smile back to the young man. However the young man's expression soon changed as he heard those words. His face showed a mixture of confusion and disappointment as he commented on the question.

"So...that angel was speaking the truth. You have lost your memories..." he said sadly as he found Krion's expression still remained the same.

"And you seem to not even care about it..." he added.

Krion looked down at the ring on his finger, the crossed shaped earing hanging from his ear and the twin guns he carried underneath his jacket...but nothing came to him.

"Indeed...my memories...they are lost. However oddly, all I can feel is a great sense of relieve...perhaps if you fill me in? I may recall something." Krion requested in hope of knowing who he was.

Leting out a big sigh, the young man took a deep breath before answering Krion, "Well...it has been three years since we last met...and we kinda left on each other's bad side a bit. If you know what I mean...we...fell for the same girl...and..."

*Flashback*

The sky brimming with light, but covered by many grey clouds. The two friends departed on this cloudy day...as the sound of airplanes lifting off filled the background.

"You better take care of her...or else!" the very same young man warned as he lifted up his laugage, preparing to leave.

"You know I will...you don't have to worry Jen, but do you really have to leave? " Krion asked sadly, knowing that it'll be a very long time till they meet again.

Lowering his head and turning his back, Jen answered sadly as well, "I have no choice...my father is needed there, so...my family has decided to move there. I wouldn't have wanted to leave her if I had a choice...but I guess it wouldn't had mattered anyway...afterall, she has already shown very clearly who she wanted to be with."

'Fight 108 departing soon. All passengers please take your seats immediately.'

"Well that's my flight. Farewell then, Krion Lockheart."

"Hey...the next time we meet. You wanna bet if you can catch a bullet with your bare hands?" Krion asked foolishly as he tried to lighten things up between them.

"Now why would I want do that? You going to fire a bullet at me or something?" Jen turned back and asked in an annoyed manner.

"Hah...it was just a thought...you don't have to get angry because of it..."

"Hmm I would love to try though." Jen said finally as the two departed.

*Flashback over*

"I see...where is she then?" Krion asked as he got even more interested in his past.

"I...was hoping that you would know...but...nevermind. Anyway, your in an underground military base...want a tour?"

"Definitely."

Meanwhile, along the ocean at the beach.

"He's very late..." Hien said as he stared out towards the ocean.

"Perhaps we should go without him..."

"No...this is his battle as well. Besides...it wouldn't be the same without him."

Back in the underground base, Krion had become very impressed with it. Just about every single kind of weapon was kept here. From missles to giant railing guns. It even had one of the most fearsome air crafts in the world, "Dreads." High speed jets that are able to out manuever just about anything if the pilot is good enough. However till now, there are only a handful of people who are able to utilize the full potential of a dread.

"And here we have our great five star restaurunt... I mean canteen!" Jen quickly changed his words as he remembered that they weren't supose to have a restaurant in this base.

Looking down at the nicely decorated so called canteen, with it's magnificent water fountain of a dragon, red table clothed tables, waiters, and a performing cook. Krion said in a sacarstic manner, "Yeah it sure looks like a special five star 'canteen'."

"Uhh lets move on shall we?" Jen said nervously as he led Krion into a different room. This time it was a room filled with targets on one side and soilders practicing their aim on the other.

"Lets have a round shall we?" Jen challenge as he drew his shot guns.

"I'm one step ahead of you." Krion replied as he fired a head shot on one of the targets.

Seeing how good his competition was, Jen got excited and fired a head shot as well...except that the power of his shot gun blasted down the entire head.

"Heh, it's not over yet." Krion clamied as he fired another string of shots. Each hiting the private parts of the human like targets.

"Ouch." a voice commented as Jen felt a firm grip on his shoulder. Recognizing the voice, he quickly turned back to greet his commander.

"Good morning sir. Is there anything I can do for you?"

"Aah yes, I need to have a word with you in private." the commander replied as he stepped to a corner. He wore a green and black uniform and looked only a little older then Jen. Then again, everyone here looked quite young for soilders.

Following his commander to the corner he whispered to him, "If it's about the canteen, I have nothing to do with it."

"Huh? What? Anyway, I need a status report on your last mission."

"Oh yeah about that...it seems that it's worst then first presumed. There are demons everywhere, and angels seem to pop out when and where they like. It seems that God has already passed it's judgement. And it's not to our favour."

"So...it's exactly what your father foresaw in those ruins..."

"Yes and that's why our sector was form." Jen replied as he began to walk back to Krion, but was soon stopped by the commander's voice again.

"One more thing...you know not just anyone can come in here..."

"Yes...but I would trust him with my life if i ever need to."

"I see..."

[Aaah a kinda short chapter, with only about a thousand words...anyway did anyone noticed the names Kane and Keith in the previous chapter and even remember where they came from? Haha guess not. ]
