Ten condemns of a soul
The world has changed quite alot in this past ten days, everyone is always on high alert of any demon attacks. The military has stationed their troops everywhere to defend the cities. Schools have stop, and almost everyone has gone to hide in the shelters. Though...there are still some people who prefer to stay in their houses, thinking that staying in a shelter would be easy targets for the demons. Krion was sent to the nearest hospital they could find and quickly sent to the emergency room. Hien and Reina awaited eagerly out side while realizing...that this whole mess was their fault. In pursuit for their own desires, they had caused chaos upon the world.
"All this...just for your revenge..." Reina said softly as she took a sit and tried to relax while waiting for an answer. However, none came. Hien just kept quiet and stared out the window. In his mind raced the thoughts of regret and remorse, but that didn't change the fact that he still hated his father. And with that he finally replied, "Even so...my hate for him is still there. And once this is all over, I'll clean up this mess."
There was then a sad moment of silence. After a few minutes, Reina stood up to visit the bathroom before asking her brother, "Are you so sure you'll win?"
"It's my reason to live..."
Meanwhile, there was a war raging in Krion's mind.
"Where am I?" an image of himself asked in the pitch black darkness. Oddly, a faint voice replied.
"No where."
"Then why am I here?" Krion asked as he looked around to see if he could find anyone.
"You've been given a choice...a decision you must make. For you are connected." the voice spoke again.
"Connected? To what?"
"The darkness." the voice replied as he revealed himself from the shadows.
Upon seeing his demon self, Krion shouted in surprise, "But...but your me?"
"Yes...and you have a desicion to make."
"And what would that be?"
"A reason to fight. If not...I must leave you once more." the demon replied calmly.
Confused, Krion began asking more questions, "What do you mean?"
His demon side took a deep breath before finally explaining, "Have you ever noticed before you knew you were part demon and god...whenever you were angry or in a fight. Your body would change and become stronger depending on the level of your feelings. Then on the night of devil may, you snapped and completed your demon form. Now recently...you have learnt to let go and freed your god side. However...you have lost your reason to fight."
Meanwhile, Hien too was having the same talk with his demon self.
"A reason to fight?" both Hien and Krion asked their demon selves.
"Yes...your reasons seemed very unclear lately, so we want to get it straight."
Grining the both remembered a familar quote and replied in an annoyed manner, "For...ourselves of course."
"Though everyone always say the're fighting for something, for someone...if you go to the root...is it not for themselves? To find peace with one's self, to kill someone for revenge. Are they not our desires which led us to fight? For ourselves, for our feelings. Everyone's the same."
After that, the two brothers quickly broke into laughter before explaining to their puzzled demon selves, "Haha, too much Saiyuki..."
Seeing the two brother's smiles they asked once more, "So...you'll follow this?"
With a slight smile on their face and the confidence to go against the world, the two brothers replied confidently, "Till the day we take our last breath."
Back in the hospital Reina had found Hien sleeping soundly against the window, and the doctors had reported that Krion was going to be fine. With a sigh of relieve she carried Hien to Krion's room.
As she gazed upon the two sleepy heads, she felt a sense of peace. All her troubles soon vanished, with the thought in her mind.
'As long as they were together...nothing else will matter.'
And for a long time in so many days, she finally relaxed and fell asleep as well.
The next morning, she was awoken by the music of guitars and singing to a familar rythem. She soon realized that she was back at their old place along side the ocean's rising sun. Where they used to sing and played in their band. And the song playing now...was none other then one of Krion's and Hien's favourites.
'Saiyuki~Tightrope.'
So, we go on refining life like an ever-sharpened knife.
And our faces are reflected on the back of a windowpane.
Now the target's set as me if my weaknesses they see
it will come to haunt me once again.
With that pressure hemming in on you from on every other side.
We smile just like the other folks but with a lot more pride.
Oh, I'm sure no matter who you are, it always stays the same.
I must fight against myself.
So, such an angelic face now coming down the road.
Unable to foretell sudden tragedy will unfold.
With never a sound.
With nary a cry I look up to the blue sky.
And now keep acting out the roles you have in any scene you play.
Before you talk of dreams or hope in any other way.
Oh, I'm sure no matter who you are, it always stays the same.
You must fight against yourself.
The sun sets and a new day comes.
Repeating is one change.
Don't avert eyes from differences.
Your nerve and soul to the limit.
Go forward now.
With pressure hemming in on you from on every other side.
We smile just like the other folks but with a lot more pride.
Oh, I'm sure no matter who you are, it always stays the same.
I must fight against myself.
Oh, I'm sure no matter who you are, it always stays the same.
You must fight against yourself.
Smiling happily for her brothers, she too joined them for the next song...
"For a moment of peace..."~
[Haha...]
