Okay, technically one year have past since everything that had happened in the previous chapters. And you can more or less take this as the first chapter of Krion's story. I think. XP

Zuru four~ Her, just her

Logic. Emotions. Which would you follow? Most times...though you try desperately...logic is your only option. Unless...you're willing to give up everything else...emotions are just the hinders of life. A young man once had a choice. To follow his heart, or forget about it all...take it, as she never existed. And, he made a choice.

That very same young man, wearing a black long sleeve coat with matching jeans slowly got out of his car. His hair was now considerably long, and his clothing was that resembles the mark of black crusaders. An organization formed to protect the world from devils, angels and even humans. They are there to maintain the fragile balance and peace of the world. However most of the time, their tactics and ways are most cruel...and so their dress code was always to wear something black, to signify their impure dealings and job. As a top-notch organization with funding from all over the world, they had access to almost every single kind of weapon imaginable...but most are kept confidential and considered a secret to be protected. With so much power in one organization, the leader of it could just as easily take over the earth then protecting it. However their leader to almost every member was so called unknown...not even a name...it was though to give them the impression that he didn't exist. But they knew he was there...more or less they were sure of it. It was said that they recruited members based on their abilities or so-called higher-level humans...each had a choice to join in order to protect their world. This young man however joined for a different reason.

"Hey Krion wait up!" the young man's partner said as he too got out of the car, his partner had already gone ahead to the burning childcare center. The center was two stories tall and was joined together with other shops like a terrace home. In front of it was a small park with an included playground, making the center the perfect location for a childcare. Krion firstly approached a young lady carrying a boy not older then three and asked, "Where is he?" The lady, frightened and confused replied in a shaky manner while pointing up to the second story, "Upp...up th'ere." Knowing where the objective was, he charged up to the burning building and knocked down the wooden door. "What about the fire? Aren't you going to wait for the firemen?" his worried partner asked. "No need to." Was Krion's reply as he braved through the heat to the second floor. It was one of those cases...where a demon awakens due to a moment of anger, or at times sorrow. When it happens...often it isn't a pretty sight, their behavior becomes berserk and they start killing or destroying. Most cases of such awakenings only happen for young little kids. When their powers had not fully developed. However that doesn't mean there hadn't been ones where they awaken with truly frightening consequences. Fortunately for him, he had never witness one before. His objective today as anyone would have guessed it by now, was a young child devil who had awaken. The fire raging around him now was most probably the child's doing.

Every devil was said to have some kind of special ability, may it be a powerful one or a weak one. Even if the ability was as small as having the ability of perfect sight and never to have a need for glasses. It was in their genes to have one. As Krion leaped over a broken stairway burnt by the flames, his coat got hooked onto a broken piece of wood, fire was quickly spreading onto it and he could pretty much guess already... This child's ability...was a sure damn annoying one! He quickly took off his coat and began running down the hallway to the estimated room the lady had previously pointed to. When he reached there, the doorknob was already glowing red, acting from instinct he took a moment to gather his strength from exhaustion before kicking down the door. Inside, the room was burning as though it was part of hell. Every piece of furniture had been burnt down or otherwise already halfway there. A young boy with smooth black hair, pointy ears and torn clothes was standing at the center of the inferno room. His head was looking down while mumbling something to himself. "Don't you think you have done enough? Stop the burning already!" Krion shouted to the child. The boy lifted up his head when he heard the stranger's voice, his eyes glowing crimson red as he replied back strongly, "No! They...they called me a demon! They said my black hair was probably caused of my burning power. Like ashes..." Yes...this was the world they lived in. With three different beings on the two worlds, such situations were common. Angels however normally would never be condemned this way. Instead they would be thought of as a blessing from the heavens...devils unfortunately...were seen as beings of evil. When in actual fact...when taking away their powers, all three were the same. It was their actions that really count. And this act of burning...would have probably scared away any friends the boy previously had.

Turning on the link between his voice transmission device on his wrist and his partner's, Krion tried his best not only to save the child from himself as well as to regain back the trust of those he knew.
"Come on kid...they were wrong! So what if you turn out to be a demon? So what if you have the ability to burn stuff? Isn't it great? To have special powers just like those in the comic books! Look... Don't tell me you truly want to burn down this place? Are the flames you conjure meant only for destruction?" The child gave a confused response, "Huh?" during the last part of Krion's speech. Scratching his head, Krion revised his last part a bit before saying, "Okay...let me put it this way...is your power only to be use to hurt people? To destroy toys? Are you evil?"

"No..." the child mumbled softly at first. Krion wasn't satisfied. "Louder." He ordered. "No." the child said. Still unsatisfied, Krion shouted to him. "Louder!"

In response a loud scream of the word 'no' soon echoed around them as the flames in the building quickly extinguished and the boy returned back to his human form. Krion made a smirk before speaking into the device he had previously turned on. "You heard him. I believe his flames won't harm anyone anymore. And to all the little kids out there, don't worry...no more toys are going to be burnt."

Krion carried the boy out of the building, and placed him among the children. Many of them then pleaded to have a piggyback ride as well. Soon Krion found himself surrounded by kids that were trying desperately to jump onto him. Krion tried to disperse them gently at first, but his smile to them was all to inviting. However...all of a sudden, that changed as Krion remembered his reason of joining this organization.

Two young teenagers were taking a relaxing walk in the park. The trees around them carried very green leafs, and were blooming with life together with the white flowers surrounding the sidewalks. The tranquility of the place provided one of the quietest and most peaceful areas in town. A lovely place for any couple to go on a date... Suddenly, one of them asked a very awkward question.
"Hey Krion...if we ever had kids...what would you name them?"
Blushing slightly, Krion took a moment to think before answering. "Hah...I have no idea...What would you name them?"
The teenage girl gave him a sly smile before answering, "Hehe...to be honest I don't really care...I just want to have them with you!"

"Heh...you'll have to be my wife first before that." Krion commented as he walked a little faster. The teenage girl smiled before catching up with Krion and giving him a hug from behind.

"Exactly."

Krion's smile changed to a frown and he shouted fiercely to the children, "Enough!" The children shocked and scared soon began to cry around him. But it didn't seem to move him, Krion instead just made a leap over them and slowly proceeded to his car. His partner followed closely behind, curious about the matter he gave Krion a tap on his shoulder. "What do you want?" came a cold harsh reply for him. "Well...it's just that you seem happy with the children at first, but then all of a sudden you became...well...like now...what happened?" his worried partner asked.

Without returning back his answer, Krion got into the car quickly, and locked the doors. Leaving his partner and his annoying questions outside of the car...but the knocking sounds on the door could still be heard and so to but an end to it... Krion just simply drove away.

About a year ago when his smiles were still often...someone took her away from him. According to one of the commanding officers in the organization, recently young girls like her were being kidnapped for some reason. The kidnappers were also said to be extraordinary beings, and so in order to find those responsible...and to find her again. The best option was to join this organization...the "Black Crusaders."

During his wait for the traffic light to turn green on a junction, the car's voice transceiver reported to him. "Paging unit X-09 EVO, a red S-R5 VIPER is on the run. Do you copy? Your objective, capture the driver and bring him back for questioning." All of a sudden, a red car dashed past by Krion's. Grabbing the answering phone he gave a short report back to the headquarters. "On it." Before dashing forward with his EVO, ignoring the red traffic light just as the run away did. Soon he picked up enough speed to shift his car into high gear, and quickly caught up with the VIPER. The driver from that car seemed to take notice and began trying to shake Krion off by entering a very sharp turn to the left. Krion followed suit the best he could with the turn, lowering his speed...his car drifted a good amount of distance and nearly crashed into another car before Krion shifted the gears back up and continued his pursuit onwards. However the road onwards wasn't as favorable as he had hoped for. It was winding with many curves and hairpins for a good amount of distance, the kind of road that his car could not perform well with. For the VIPER unit however, it was designed for such roads...and so its name. Whoever the driver was, he knew his cars well enough to put a black crusader on the disadvantage...

As Krion saw how well the driver pulled off the change of directions of drifts in a snake like pattern, he made another assumption. The runaway...was no amateur when it came to driving as well. Having a hard time pulling off the drifts with his car, Krion found himself often scratching car or bumping into something. However his car with its wide body kits and advance engine modifications was designed to take such damage and still maintain its speed. Still...he found himself slowly lagging behind, at this rate he was going to lose his runaway. Soon the road came back upon a straight path, and Krion let out a sign of relief as his car began closing in on the runaway again. They were soon nearing another junction on the road, but this time ahead of them were speeding vehicles dashing in another direction. "Is he trying to play chicken?" Krion asked himself while the two cars were soon heading into collision course. Lowering his speed, Krion allowed the runaway to go first thinking that the driver was sure to stop. To his surprise, the VIPER maintained its speed and was heading straight into the heavy traffic. Riskily the car dashed past numerous vehicles of its kind and more. Even pulling off a stunt as extreme as going under an oil tanker and coming out in one piece. Knowing his limits, Krion immediately pushed the breaks before entering the traffic lane. Breaking just in time before damaging anymore of his car. Letting the runaway...run away. Taking out the answering phone, he began paging their headquarters. "Paging black tower, this is unit X-09 EVO. The runaway...has escaped. I repeat. The EVO is unable to continue pursing it."

Almost immediately as soon as Krion finished what he had to report, two black jets fly past by him...and his transceiver device answered his call. "This is unit W-39 Blackwings. We acknowledge your failure and we'll take it from here."

Recognizing the voice and the choices of words the reply had, Krion quickly realized who was mocking him. "Well you better get him! Or it'll be my turn to mock you next Teris!" Krion shouted into the answering phone

"Copy that...you can be sure you won't get the chance."

'Heh, is everyone trying to get on my nerves today?' Krion wondered before getting his car back started and driving back to the childcare center...his partner was probably still waiting for him to get back. And if he was to get into trouble for not catching the runaway...at least if he went back for him, perhaps his partner wouldn't mention leaving him there to their commander. And as an added bonus, he wouldn't be scolded at alone.

She was his choice, his reasons for everything. May it be why he was annoyed, to even why his eyes just couldn't hold back his tears at times...she was, and is his only reason. Even to go on...and so he chose not to let go...

Okays, okays...a number of reason why it took so long to write a chapter for me. Number one. Went for chalet, four days of play. XD Haha actually it's not a very good excuse...I play everyday. XD Number two. I wanted every chapter to be at least 2k of words long. Number three. I wrote a different chapter, but it's in the wrong timeline of the second. So now I'm pretty much figuring what to do next... Wrote a Ledius part for no particular reason. And on to life I suppose...pretty much lazying away, smashing buttons on my ps2...watching anime, and well...living life. Not sure what to do this holiday...so I'm taking a day at a time. Staying away from any work...even from training a character in a game. Guess I'm just sick of working so hard during the exams that I can't stand going through anymore...gonna start my homework during december...for now...I'm just gunna life as I want to. Now on to relationships, well its going well between me and my dear...but I'm starting to wonder how long that is going to last...I haven't even seen her face to be honest...but well she has been through BG relationships before so I doubt she looks bad. XP And I wonder what would happen if we were to meet...should I? She constantly says she wants to come my house... X_x' Perhaps I'm just too young for this...well we'll see I guess.

Well the second part of Ledius's drift is almost done...just one more fight scene and its back to Krion...or maybe I'll just save that part for next time...

"So long and goodnight...sin has found you." ~Leigion, the fallen angel.
Zuru Three~ Fondling distant [Ledius's drift]

"Do you Ledius Lockheart and Luna Tagellin, take each other as your unlawfully forbidden wife and husband in health, wealth, good times or bad, and most importantly, knowing the path you have taken is going against both heaven and hell?" a female priestess asked the couple before her. Both dressed in the traditional attire of a groom and bride. Upon the roof of a modern multi-story church, this solemn and unavoidable question was asked. Their truthful answer fully known would change the world.

The night was slowly passing by, time waits for no one...but it doesn't past as quickly as people think. Every second could be precious, and yet useless and pointless at the same time. Not everything makes sense, and at times they don't need to. A middle age lady was on her way home from shopping. Her tied up golden yellow hair hanging behind her white raincoat. And her emerald green eyes filled with loneliness. There was no one to go home to tonight...everyone was out doing his or her own thing. And the sky looked cold as well as disheartening. Dark clouds showed signs of a down pour soon. The lady slowly made her way to the bus stop ahead of her. During times like this, how she wished that her husband didn't had to leave...but it couldn't be helped. Or that's what she always tells herself. Boarding the bus that soon arrived, she recalled the many times that she smiled and laughed with him. The times where they would have ice cream together under the stars. And that she would always take an extra lick from his whenever he wasn't looking. Till the day he left, he didn't seem to realize why his ice cream always finished so quickly. But now all that was left was the rain to keep her company. The droplets of water began falling hard on to the window besides her, each splashing into many more droplets in an array of different lights due to the lit town area around her. Different stalls past by, ranging from post offices to even card shops, but each holding very little interest to her. However just as she passed by an odd looking skyscraper, time seemed to stop for a second...and a warm feeling came over her. A feeling that she hadn't felt for a very long time, a feeling she had missed so much. Time quickly resumed its pace, and the skyscraper was almost out of sight. Pushing the alighting bell, she quickly proceeded to the doors and waited to alight at the next stop. Luckily for her, it wasn't very far away, and the skyscraper was still in walking distance away. Taking out her hood, she began her walk under the pouring rain.

Her heart began beating faster as she approached the building, he was here...she was almost sure of it. However as the automatic glass doors slide open, and a cold gust of air rushed out upon her face. She realized in the refreshing breezy that took away the previous feeling... "What am I doing? He can't be here... My feelings...they are probably just playing a trick on me..." Before long, she stepped back out. And the glass doors swooshed back to their original positions. Closing away the air-conditioned air within, and letting the middle-aged lady continue her wandering way in the rain. After she left, a hooded man in a black raincoat proceeded out. Looking around in hope to find the person he was looking for, he soon sighed and before long returned back into the building. The heavy rain and numerous people wearing raincoats made it hard to recognize anyone. Causing the man's hope to diminish quickly into the sounds of the heavy rain.

"What's the matter Ledius?" a man wearing a white suit asked from behind him. His hair was jelled up to show clearly his emerald eyes while his hands were tucked comfortably in his pockets. The other man pulled back his hood and let down his considerably stylish long hair before replying sadly, "It's nothing...for a moment there...I thought she was just outside."

"Well her home isn't pretty far away, you should visit her if you have the time." The business like man commented as he began his journey back to his office. Ledius followed suit not far behind. The lobby was fully carpeted and had two long stairways leading up to another floor. A counter was located in between the two stairs and security guards stood besides it. To the left of the lobby was where they were heading. A place dedicated to an invention making use of tubes to transport people, a place known to many as simply a lift lobby. However the lifts here weren't ordinary. They had secret compartments in them to access different floors of the building. But only the president of the company could open the compartments. On their way to these lifts, Ledius suddenly replied to his comment. "I don't have the time."
"You don't have the time or you just can't come up with a better excuse for me?"

Ledius let out a sigh before he entered, his eyes showing signs of doubt as he answered. "Perhaps a little of both."

"We do." That was our surely and truthful answer. We thought that no matter what happened...we would always be together. Against hell, or against heaven, we thought that nothing was going to break us apart. Yes, it was our wishful thinking. As we answered, we turned our backs to each other...and fired an array of dark and light arrows at the uninvited guests. A group of high reapers and angels had crashed the party.

The arrows were dead on target, with the dark ones engulfing the angels and the light subduing the reapers. "Heh, what do you say you guys? Lets get this party started!" one of the guest dressed in a formal suit suggested as he summoned his twin spears from thin air. A number of others followed suit with their own range of weapons, from machine guns to even a cross like staff from the priestess who quickly joined in the battle.

They had come...to try to prevent our wedding...those who couldn't accept the fact that we love each other...that though forbidden...we choose to wed. Our parents were dead. Perhaps they would have forbid it as well, but they weren't here to now...so it didn't matter. Our friends, siblings at least they were okay with it...

"You do realize what you're asking for could very well be suspected as terrorism." The man dressed in white asked as he read the documents Ledius had brought before him. "Well your company is a neutral company and it allows all its transitions to be done confidentially. Or are you changing your policy soon? Mr. president?" The president of the company was at a loss, its policy clearly does stat what Ledius had asked for...however the request from him was a bit too outrages to agree upon. "If it's the money...I can pay you in full now..." Ledius assured as he found the president's silence a bit too disturbing. "No...it's not the money..."

"I see...then give me a straight answer and I'll be on my way." Ledius said politely as he began packing up his documents into a black suitcase. He could recognized the facial expression on his troubled face and realized that his answer may not what be what he had hoped for. It was only a few minutes later before the president asked worriedly. "What are you going to do with so many dreads anyway?" Ledius showed him a smirk and stopped packing before replying, "In case of an invasion..."

"But how could you be so sure there may be one?"

"Hey, I said in case didn't I? Don't tell me you don't trust me? Okay...we'll add another condition in the contract. You keep the dreads safe. I won't touch them unless they are needed." Ledius replied hastily, not knowing how much he would regret that decision later on.

"Well...first of all...I said maybe...and since you are my brother in law...I guess...I'll do it then." The man dressed in white agreed as he took out a pen to sign his name on the documents.

"You have my thanks then Renoir." Ledius thanked as he gave him a graceful bow before leaving his office. The night was getting late, and indeed there was little time left before his flight departs...but still...he had one last thing to do...or should he say his friend did.

The night continued it's heavy down pour, and the moon rays were lost behind the dark clouds. With flowers in hand and a trench raincoat, a young teenager made his way towards the designated apartment. Knocking thrice, he waited for the door to open. He was here on an important errand...well perhaps not that important to him, as he would rather be sleeping on his comfortable bed at the hotel. But it was important to his caregiver...so he couldn't say no... When the door finally opened, he saw a gorgeous golden haired lady in causal clothing. The young teenager almost lost himself in her eyes if not for the unexpected phone call from her house. The lady quickly ran back in to pick up the call, leaving the young teen standing there like there was no tomorrow. Well at least he wasn't bored, as he could hear the lady's honey sweet voice from the door.

"Hello?"

"Oh Krion, you'll be late today...okies got it."

"Umm...well they're not home if that's what you wanted to know."

"Oh...you think you know where they are? Haha...okays don't come home too late then you three."

When she came back, she sincerely apologized with a bow. "Oh I'm so sorry, did you wait long?" The teen a bit shaken by the lady's concern shook his head and hastily handed her the bouquet of black roses and a card before running away as fast as he could in embarrassment soon after. He was afraid that she might have mistaken that the flowers were from him...so he decided that it would have been too awkward to stay. The lady surprised by the teenager's odd behavior, couldn't help but let out a giggle before opening the card to see who the flowers were from.

Dear Luna,

I know I haven't been home for 12 years now, but you know why I had to leave...perhaps you hate me for leaving...but it was something I just had to do. Hah...I'm not even sure if you still remember this lousy husband of yours, but he remembers and misses you every second of his life. These roses are for you. I know it's odd to send black flowers, but we promised each other before didn't we? I'll show you the darkness, and you'll show me the light. See you soon...

Love,
Ledius
The one who's sorry and whose heart is fondly missing you.

The lady upon finishing reading took one of the roses and enchanted it with light. Causing the rose to turn snow white in appearance. She then stepped out to the balcony and let the rose fall. The rain during the delivery had gotten smaller, almost decreasing to nothing. Allowing the solo rose to timely fall back down to it's deliverer to be delivered back to the one who sent for him.

It was a night similar to the weather ten years later, heavy rain...and fond hearts. A young man stood on the ledge of the roof of an apartment building. Lost in his emotions and regret of what he must do. His hood was pulled to his back, leaving his entire head unprotected by the cold, tasteless drops of water. He felt the rain as a way to comfort his sorrow. A way for his tearless eyes to cry...

A group of others wearing raincoats soon approached him from behind. "Are you sure this is what you want?" one of them asked in a solemn tone. The not hooded man shook his head before replying sadly, "I don't have a choice."

"Hey come on...we can do it without you! We don't need you to mess things up and hold us back!" another of the group shouted harshly. Trying his best to convince the poor soul not to go. Ledius upon hearing that, closed his eyes in frustration before arguing back strongly, "But...it was partially because of me that he became this way! If...if Luna and I hadn't fall in love...then they wouldn't had tortured him to that state! They wouldn't had killed her in the process..."

"Then shouldn't Luna be coming along as well?" A four speaker asked, but Ledius decided not to answer him...it was going nowhere...they seem determined not to let him go along with them...even though they knew why he had to...but they didn't know the guilt and pain he was feeling...and so he lied.

As soon as they left, he boarded his private jet...but not before visiting his special someone first...She was asleep at that time, but that was the only reason why he dared to go back...While giving her a kiss on her forehead, he whispered softly to her ear, "Goodbye my dear...the children can't do without a mother...so allow me to take the burden for the both of us...I'll end it for you...I promise."

All of a sudden, a young child's voice disturbed his moment. "Daddy? Where are you going?" Ledius was surprised by the fact that one of his sons was still awake, he kneeled down and gave him a hug so that he could stalled for time to think of what to say to him. After a moment of thought, he let go and said to the boy, "Daddy has to go to somewhere far away, and he won't be coming back soon. I know you may not be the oldest Hien...but I know you'll grow up to be a responsible adult. So take care of them for me...can you do that son?" The young child nodded to his father's request, and saw him slowly letting him go...before leaving through the large wooden door.

And so he left...not knowing that they would be separated for twelve long years...and even then...it still hasn't ended. Light was still sinned.
